MSIT Holds Performance Report Meeting on Government R&D System Reform
The Ministry of Science and ICT held a performance report meeting on government R&D system reform on July 1, 2026, at Korea University in Seoul.
The meeting was organized to share the progress made in improving government R&D regulations and research administration systems, with a focus on creating a more researcher-centered environment. Researchers, postdoctoral fellows, student researchers, and research administration staff attended the event to discuss key achievements and provide feedback from the field.
Major improvements included easing administrative burdens, expanding researchers’ autonomy, simplifying evaluation documents, and introducing more convenient research information systems. The ministry also introduced services such as “Research 24,” which allows researchers to access major government R&D systems with a single login, and enhanced data linkage between institutional systems and the Integrated R&D Information System (IRIS).
Through the meeting, MSIT reaffirmed its commitment to reducing unnecessary regulations, improving research administration, and building a world-class research environment where researchers can focus more fully on their work.
