MSIT Supports K-Blockchain Firms’ Entry into European Market as “Team Korea”
The Ministry of Science and ICT is supporting Korean blockchain companies’ entry into the European market through a joint “Team Korea” initiative.
MSIT, together with the Korea Internet & Security Agency, participated in GITEX AI EUROPE 2026, held from June 30 to July 1, 2026, at Messe Berlin in Germany. The initiative brought together government agencies, local governments, and related institutions to help Korean blockchain companies expand their global networks and explore new business opportunities in Europe.
As part of the initiative, MSIT and KISA operated the Blockchain Korea Pavilion in cooperation with local governments, including Busan and Daegu. A total of 23 Korean blockchain companies showcased blockchain-based technologies and services applicable to various fields, including ESG, maritime logistics management, and online voting.
The program also provided opportunities for participating companies to connect with local investors, buyers, and business partners. Through IR pitching sessions and one-on-one business meetings, the companies aimed to strengthen their presence in the European market and pursue practical outcomes such as investment attraction, exports, and technology cooperation.
MSIT said it will continue working with KISA, local governments, and related organizations to support the overseas expansion of Korean blockchain companies and help them achieve tangible results in the global market.
